Work with us

WildeWoods Design works with clients in a variety of ways, based on your needs and budget.  From one-time consults great for budget-minded DIYers, to ongoing design support for big renovations/new construction, to full-service interior decorating -- we don't find any opportunity to help clients tackle challenges and transform home or business spaces "too big" or "too small".

Bringing a practical approach, simple floor plan software, tons of creativity, and even a few power tools; we enjoy working with homeowners, real estate investors, entrepreneurs + local small business owners to accomplish your goals.

Our Process

Every project is unique; our process gives a 'general' idea on what it might be like working together, depending on your needs & budget.

1. Preliminary Communication

We are happy to chat via email, text, or hop on the phone for a brief call so we can get a general feel for one another, you can ask your questions, and decide if you'd like to take the next step in working together.

If you're able to outline your project scope with clarity, we can provide some ballpark pricing as a starting point.  However we don't do free detailed estimates (it's impossible to give a good estimate based only on a phone call or RE listing photos) so in most cases the next step would be a consult -- in-person + onsite.

2. Start with a Consult

An in-person consult is a great way to begin working together.  Combining a 'meet + greet' with a property walkthrough + live brainstorm; we can use the time (typically 1-3hrs depending on property size) however is best for you, which can be tailored to your project, property, and objectives.

For some clients, a consult may be all that's needed to get you going in the right direction!  We can dive right in, come up with ideas on the fly as we walk your property, offer insights + recommendations on the spot, and can make certain decisions while also identifying areas in-need of follow-ups.

For other clients a consult will act as the kick-off for ongoing work for a larger project.  We can get to know one another better while discussing your project in-depth and identifying what's in scope, 'who's doing what', timing, budget, personal preferences, and the process.  We also take photos & measurements which will be necessary for the next steps as we dig in on your project.

Either way, there's no contract or obligation to work together required for this more casual initial service... so give us a try!

3. Design + Planning

The planning phase of a project includes the design concept, design ideas & proposed solutions, and the floor plan/furniture layout of your space... which then allows us to make a detailed list of what's in-scope.

At this point we create a detailed line-item 'shopping list' including specs like colors & dimensions, with a proposed budget for your review & approval.

DIYers, you may want us for this phase only; by doing your own shopping, decision-making, & installation you can save on the bulk of our fees.

4. Shopping

With the shopping list (including guardrails like colors & dimensions) as our roadmap; we will source products that fit the aesthetic & the budget, and that fit (physically!).

For many clients we present curated options to you, to collaborate on the final decisions.

For certain types of projects, we can streamline timelines and save you money by skipping the approval process -- making purchase decisions for you.

5. Purchasing & Logistics

Once decisions have been made; you can opt to have us take the lead on placing orders, tracking shipments, in-store shopping, and getting everything onsite.

Depending on the size of your project -- this phase can get quite overwhelming!  From consolidating numerous deliveries, to unboxing & disposing of cardboard, to being onsite for larger freight deliveries, to tracking down lost/damaged items in transit; we can take this workload off your plate.

6. Building/Remodeling Project Oversight

Beyond being your interior designer -- we can be an invaluable resource to you and your contractors throughout your building/remodeling projects to ensure installation is executed on flawlessly.

From being onsite for template & measuring appointments, to ensuring the electrician knows precisely where to locate light fixtures & switches, to helping your HVAC tech plan out floor vents that won't interfere with furniture locations -- we can assist with coordinating sub-contractors, answer your contractors' questions in real time, help solve problems as they arise, and even oversee/inspect installations when you can't be onsite.

7. Decorative Installation

Want a short-term rental property completely set-up & ready for guests?  Need an apartment ready for you when moving from out of state?  Want to arrive to your Summer home freshly spruced up?

When it comes to interior decorating and decorative finishes -- WildeWoods Design can handle everything for you.  Ranging from moving/assembling furniture, to installing shelving & window treatments, to hanging wall art and even organizing kitchen drawers... we'll oversee every last detail so that you can show up to a completely turnkey space.

A cost-conscious approach

No matter what job you hire us for, we approach each project creatively and thoughtfully, with a cost conscious mindset.  If money is no object, we will certainly have fun shopping for your project!  However we know most projects need to stay within a reasonable budget (and sometimes a tight one) and will help you stick to it.

We'll help you make smart decisions including where to splurge a little where it might make a big impact, and where you can save money without compromising.

We do not have trade agreements with brands or showrooms, so we have no ulterior motive to direct you towards one retailer vs another.  We can even save you money but finding an item for much less at one retailer vs. another.

We do not charge for services as a percentage of your project cost, so we have zero reason to guide you towards higher priced items to pad our pockets.
